Hogwarts Legacy features dozens of environmental puzzles and side quests scattered throughout the vast Highlands landscape. Among these subtle quests is "Well, Well, Well," an activity triggered by interacting with a talking magical well. Uncovering the starting point and decoding the map given by the well allows players to earn exclusive gear rewards and experience points.

Finding the Talking Magical Well

To begin the quest, players must head to the South Hogwarts Region, just southeast of the hamlet of Aranshire. Nestled in a small valley along the mountain range, you will find a stone well surrounded by ruined stone walls and wooden benches. Approaching the structure triggers a dialogue prompt where the well asks for help retrieving a parchment trapped inside it.

Deciphering the Well's Treasure Map

Interacting with the magic well a second time yields a sketched treasure map containing visual clues rather than explicit waypoints. The parchment depicts a ruined castle, a stone bridge, and a central tree surrounded by ruined walls. While the map hints at a nearby landmark, the actual target location lies much further south in the Feldcroft Region.

Locating the Hidden Treasure in Feldcroft

To locate the reward, travel to the hamlet of Irondale and fly directly southwest toward the coastal cliffside ruins. Cross the stone bridge leading to the small ruined enclosure where a solitary tree stands. Casting the Levioso spell on the tree causes it to float, revealing a chest intertwined within its roots containing gold and a unique cosmetic hat.
